Border Rounder by Wickedly Wonderful Creations
More things of fun can be found HERE at Wickedly Wonderful Creations
How'd You DO That??? Border Rounder!
After having posted my creations for the Control Freaks Tour the other night I have received multiple requests to show you HOW I made the border punch work in a circle ... so here goes nothin'!! I just recently learned how to do this myself, thanks to a Technique Lover's Challenge over on SCS. So I decided to pass it along to all you good people ...
First, punch a strip of paper using your favorite border punch. (I usually start with an 11" strip ... sometimes I need the whole thing, sometimes I only use part, and sometimes I need TWO strips ... it just depends on the size of your circle/oval).
Next, snip triangular-shaped notches from the bottom edge of your strip ...
Then, using a term I am borrowing from my many years of sewing, "ease" the strip into a more rounded shape (it's kinda like scrunching/"forcing" the straight piece to go all curvy!) ...
Add adhesive to the back edge of your circle, and attach your edge piece as shown. Take your time and let the paper have its way ... it'll eventually "bend" to your will (and the will of the adhesive!)!
Finally, add any additional punched strips, as needed, to complete the circle. Ta-DA!! That's it!! And, as you can see from my sample, I "double-dipped" ... couldn't resist adding a second Border Rounder (which is kind of a dumb name, but I think it pretty much describes what you are doing!!)

Birthday Card & Template...
Some of you have asked for a tutorial, but since I really need to start working on my daughter's 1st bday invites, I decided to give you the template instead. I made this card last night as I was trying to redo the dimensions on the template so that the card would be able to fit in a regular sized envelope.
Here is the inside of the card.
This is the template for the card. I think it is called a Double Display Card. Like I mentioned before, I altered the measurements so that the card would fit in a regular envelope. The final size of this card when folded is 4" x 5 1/2". The one I made for Michelle had to be placed in a 5" x 7" envelope since the size of that card was a 4" x 6".
First, score the long side of your 5 1/2" x 12" card stock at 2", 4", 8", & 10". Then go back and score it at 1", 5", 7", & 11" (1" deep). Turn the card stock and score the opposite side at the same dimensions.
Next, cut from the end of the 1" scoreline to the end of the 5" scoreline (dotted lines in template). Then cut from the end of the 7" scoreline to the end of the 11" scoreline (dotted lines in template). Turn your cardstock and repeat on the opposite side.
Measurements for the DSP are as follows...
Top DSP Size: 7/8" x 10 7/8" (cut at 10", 9 1/8", 7 1/4", 6 3/8", 4 1/2", 3 5/8", 1 3/4", & 7/8").
Middle DSP Size: 3 3/8" x 11 3/8" (cut at 9 1/2", 7 5/8", 3 3/4", & 1 7/8").
Bottom DSP Size: same as the top DSP.
Note: keep them in the order that you cut it.

my rainbow was created by some color blending of the 7 colors we need to use…Love my new verses from Stephanie Barnard stamps…my ribbon I picked up at the Kitchener Scrapfest April 9, 2011…in Ontario Canada…

Altered books
Hi everyone! In honor of Earth Day in April I thought it would be fun to do a challenge that requires you to use an old book in any way, shape, or form. I used an old Reader's Digest book that I got at Goodwill and cut the covers off to make covers for a mini album. But use your imagination and show me what fun ideas you have for using an old book. so get over to Becky’s page and show us your alterations.
I did an altered CD case using a page from National Geographic..the plane sketched in this picture (Microsoft ad) reminded me of a stamp so why not use it for my Penny Black clear stamp the hedge hog….TFL

The word is “READ”
We have some fun challenges over at the PIT (Pages in Time) Lili wanted us to use the word READ in our work so I thought hmmm!!! I just got this great freebie from Gliterblade site for celebrating April is Autism month.
What is autism?
Autism is a brain disorder that often makes it hard to communicate with and relate to others. With autism, the different areas of the brain fail to work together. Most people with autism will always have some trouble relating to others. But early diagnosis and treatment have helped more and more people who have autism to reach their full potential.
Let's help better understand and stamp out autism around the globe.
So pop into both sites and not only see what is going on but look around you might just be surprised at all that you do and can see.
TFL…Lynn <(((><

Our Inspirational Muse
This is a new feature for us here at Pages in Time. We will feature one person here and show why she is so instrumental in creativity and inspires us. That person will get a blinkie that Becky was so gracious to make for that person to post on their blog. Our First Inspirational Muse Is *Irene Tan* aka Scrapperlicious. Journey through her work and see why we think she is so creative and inspiring. Irene is from Malaysia and a mother of two blessings. She loves the beauty of combining art and creativity with the magnificent world of scrapping and crafting. She loves to experiment with all the wonderful crafting and scrapping products in the market and come up with new ideas in using them. This was a DT layout for Bo Bunny where they were asked to include some tags on our layouts. I've used the beautiful and bright Vicki B line! Irene's design was to cope with this assignment is to use some huge tags to mat the photographs. Here's is a DT layout she did for Tim Holtz. This layout is created using Tim Holtz idea-ology Shabby Chic paper stack, tissue tape, grungeboard, fragments and metal embellishment. She also used some Tim Holtz Alterations die-cuts and embossing folders. To add more elements on it, I've used some Clear Scraps circles on it too On all of Irene work she posts closeups and indept how she created her project, on her blog, and I hope you will go take a look, you probably will be there a long long time. Scrapperlicious blog Congrats to you Irene for being our first Inspirational Muse! Each month and sometimes twice a month, we will pick another Inspirational Muse, they are chosen by my dt and me (karen),they might or might not be a member here.
